Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Play Therapy
Supporting emotional wellbeing through play, creativity and connection.

About
Welcome to Marlene Duffy Play Therapy. I’m a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist specialising in Play Therapy.
I provide a warm, safe and supportive space for children and young people who may be experiencing challenges in their lives. Relationship is at the heart of my work, and through a trusting therapeutic relationship, children can begin to express themselves, explore their feelings and experiences, and make sense of things that may be difficult to put into words.
Play and creativity are an important part of this process, giving children the opportunity to communicate and explore their inner world in ways that feel natural and comfortable for them.
Supporting the adults around the child is also an important part of my work. I work collaboratively with parents and guardians, offering support and guidance to help them better understand and respond to their child’s needs. Where appropriate, and with consent, I can also work alongside schools and other professionals to help provide consistency and support around the child.
My approach is child-centred, warm and responsive to each individual child, recognising their unique strengths, needs and pace. I believe in meeting children where they are, allowing the therapeutic process to unfold at a pace that feels right for them, while supporting them to develop greater understanding, confidence and trust in themselves.
